It's not box, it's solid steel. Seemed OK yesterday, will use it on the bike, checking at regular intervals to see if it needs any further bracing

Is it still connected to the bike - yes - no further bracing required

*10 mins later*

Is it still connected to the bike - uhh... no... - much more bracing required... once I find it...

I think I'd notice half the frame getting ripped off...  :eek

Had a great day, took the trailer for high speed road trials, and discovered it doesn't like going above 60mph. Might be better loaded. Had a relaxed bimble down the M3 to Fareham to claim a cuppa and a chat from Fireblake. Good ride, good tea, good company! :)

Now get those wheels sorted, Mickey! :lol

You know one of the questions the insurance ask you. "do you have any modifications" what on earth are you going to say. And you do know that your insurance in any mis hap will be null and void

The insurers have been notified, the extras aren't covered for fire or theft, but the lot, trailer included, is 3rd party protected. At no extra cost.

It's amazing, I don't think they give a fuck! Wicked Quotes are my brokers, very helpful over the phone too. :)

Punk - you'll get to admire the rack on Sunday, and I plan to stop off for an hour or so at South Mimms services Sunday next (8th)  to show off the trailer to Foccers on the way to Holland.  :)

Forks reassembled and re-attached plus front wheel and calipers back on. Generator cover removed, replaced and refitted. Tested my handlebars - they are definitely bent but I think I can get away with them not fouling the tank

Need to order a new set of lights though which is certainly going to hurt my bank balance (only spent about £20-30 so far) plus at least one front indicator which I think got left on the road after the crash...

Certainly getting there, it looks more like a bike now :D

Just did my little evening ride again, won't be able to before long as the evenings are already drawing in  :(
After the short run to Burford, crossing the A40, I then turn right for Chipping Norton on the A361 - fast, winding and open.
Just as I reach C/N, I turn right onto the B4026 and this is where the real fun begins. What a brilliant little road! Tight, twisty, up and down, with a few short fast stretches, it's got the lot! The gravel has really settled down and cleared up now, and the surface is once again grippy, and much smoother now.
Stig, if you're reading this, it knocks the B4030 into a cocked hat! (I sneaked a look at that one earlier today).
First time I explored this route, it took just about an hour - now down to 40 mins, but still using due care where necessary of course.
That's me happy for the day  :b   :)

Tuning it up for LoFos on Sunday!

Did an impressive wiring job on the 12V though. It was meant to be on when the ignition was off, and off when the ignition was off - but it's the opposite!! How the hell did I manage that?!?

Fitted my Renthal 758's,got all the switch gear back together, Fitted my cnc levers, fitted the fairing frame & did a mock up of my new fairing & it looks sweet.

Tried fitting my bar end mirrors but couldnt because the renthals have a 13mm internal diameter instead of the standard 18mm,the rubber insert was too big so I've emailed the company to ask them if it's as simple as sending me a smaller rubber insert.

After much looking, & looking again...i cant fit the bar end mirrors to Renthals :\ ,so ill send them back & get some standard bar mount mirrors instead.
