And do a good job of cleaning.
The reservoir did not empty so no air got in from the top. Calapers and pads back in and re attached to forks, I have pumped the leaver and but obviously its going to need bleeding.
But will I have to do both sides I am thinking that the other side will be ok.
If it matters its braided lines two piece via a double banjo at the reservoir
I am dreading undoing the bleed nipple for fear of it snapping, I have some penetrating liquid sitting on the thread.

Hi all... confirmation of thoughts please...
Just had the Fazer out for a test ride after a full frame swap... ride went great but she dumped a load of coolant on the garage floor out of the expansion tank vent pipe when I got back!!!
now... 64 million dollar question... is it worth going... cap... thermostat... before I go head gasket??? There is quite a build up of pressure when opening the cap... even now when it is cold... I will try and post a diagram of how I have installed the pipework... most have been changed for new from AS3...
I do not claim that these add anymore more top end power... for me, it was purely for looks but they also come with advantages... the carbs are so much easier to remove and refit once the airbox has gone haha

Hello, I have a FZS600 Fazer Foxeye from 2002 (5RT1), but the ignition switch needs to be replaced because its worn and the key struggles to turn.
I want to be replace it as a set to be able to use the same key for both the gas cap as the ignition switch once replaced.

However here in the Netherlands I can't find any ignition switch + gas cap set for the 2002 model, but there is one available for the 2001 model.
Is there any difference in these two parts? The part# are different for both models, but they look very similar if not the same if you ask me.

Part# for FZS600 2001:
Ignition Switch: 4NA825010200
Fuel Gas Cap: 4HM246020100

Part# for FZS600 2002:
Ignition Switch: 5LV825011000
Fuel Gas Cap: 39P246020000

Thanks for any help

Uncovering the FZ1 Fazer Nitron Mono-Shock: An Obsessive Dive into Thermal Drift and

When the Nitron mono-shock for the FZ1 Fazer arrived at our shop, I was so intrigued that I couldn't just mount it. I immediately started tearing down the brand-new unit to compare it with the OEM version—and discovered that the internal design is absolutely insane! The OEM setup on these 5-valve 4-cylinders is notorious for its unforgivable weaknesses: an embarrassing lack of material rigidity and a damping curve that falls completely flat under load.
But this Nitron unit? The millimeter-level precision of the internal valving and shim stack is practically bulletproof, obliterating the typical fade you see during aggressive riding. I’ve spent countless late nights wrenching on suspension setups to fight the terror of thermal drift, where fluid viscosity breaks down and ruins your rebound. Nitron engineered this billet aluminum masterpiece with a massive remote reservoir to manage heat soak perfectly.
Dialing in the sag and high-speed compression transformed the Fazer's heavy rear end into a precision scalpel. The fluid dynamics here keep the shock stroke buttery smooth even when pushed to absolute thermal limits.
I know some of you are running similar high-end suspension architectures on your heavy sport-tourers. So I have to ask the hardcore tuners here: when you’re pushing big miles and the exhaust temperature starts creeping into the aluminum linkages, how do you guys perfectly dial in the settings for this heat soak issue?
