Bought a 2002 FZS for TT last year, only bike I've ridden since. Hope to get some info on suspension upgrades.

Plenty of options for suspension upgrades, depends on your budget.

Original shock is pants, budget options to replace with one from an R6 or BMW S1000RR with modified dog bones. Or of course a new aftermarket from any of the usual players.

Forks are a bit more involved. Valving is a bit off, harsh compression and too little rebound leads to a choppy ride. The springs are dual rate but not well suited to the bike. Some replacement springs and an oil change can help but won’t fix it completely. Depends how fussy you are. Maxton and K-Tech still do re-valving but you’re talking big money nowadays. An R1 with modified yokes. 

Depends on the size of your wallet. I’m now running Maxton modified forks with an R6 shock. Suspension is now excellent, superior in my opinion compared with my Tracer that has K-Tech valves.
