cClocks not working properly

Hi chaps ,rev counter on my mates 2004 gen 2 not working fully .with ign off needle points straight down,turn ign on and needle moves to the left fractionally,start bike and needle moves further left and is jammed up against stopper and obviously does not work any ideas please ---the bike starts and runs perfectly -he has recently fitted new fuel pump and fuel pump fuse/relay .had clock problem before he changed pump n relay .any help much appreciated thanks.

Has it been knocked and jumped passed the needle?

Take the clocks off, split them and remove the stopper. Put the needle above it and refit?

What milage is the bike on?

2004 gen 2 !?! Maybe wrong forum and the right one could have answers?
