Just broke the bleed nipple off the rear caliper when trying to bleed the system. I have two questions, why do Yamaha make them out of chocolate and what other calipers will fit? I notice the the 1000 blue spot is mentioned in the post below but will anything else fit?
Luckily it broke whilst still locked shut so I can ride it. Off the Spain next week for a ride around the mountains so wont get done until I'm back.
Which 600 do you have the mk1 or mk2?
It's a year 2000. Does that help?

There's a lot on here explaining the FZS thou rear caliper replacement or the TRX 850 rear caliper which needs the TRX hanger, torque arm and a longer hose fitted .

Thanks for that. There's a YZF1000 1996-2001 caliper on eBay at the moment. Will I need the torque arm as well?

Hadn't considered the YZF Thunderace caliper..... if it's the same fit as the FZS 1000 rear, then no you don't need the torque arm as well, the thou torque arm is too long , I only fitted the Thundercat 600 torque arm because it looks better.
If its the same fit the caliper hanger will need a small amount of adjustment with a file and some washers to bring it into line.
The link for the FZS 1000 caliper on ebay i posted comes with the hanger adjusted , washers and a fully serviced blue spot caliper with new pistons and seals, so just a case of fitting brake pads , fitting hanger and caliper and bleeding.
I think I have a half decent Fzs 600 caliper you could have cheap if your interested, would have to look later this evening, but a bit far to pick up ( Peak District) .
The best ones to fit ore the Blue Spot or Gold Spot, from the FZS1000 or the later XJR1300. Blue spots from any thing else do not fit

I have found this to be true . Thats why the FZS thou ones being sold on ebay already serviced and tinkered with I think are good value

Take the caliper off, stick a bit of wood between the pads, hold the caliper with the hose fitting upwards and crack it off a bit while pressing on the brake lever. Bit messy but you will hear any significant amount of trapped air as it escapes.
I've got fzs1000 calipers and modified brackets ready to go... Chuck me a message if your interested

Did you actually Delete them or just send them to Trash?
If the latter, try emptying that and see if it helps.

Deleted, then deleted trash too. Quite a lot as well and the trash can is now empty but a highlighted label still shows 100% full?
