Out on the FJR (Saturday) trying to get some mileage on it for the first service. Went to Bridgend for a spin then up to Brecon (started to rain) dove back down to Merthyr via the A470 rain stopped  Smile but the hail stones started  :\
Found my new Franky T trousers are NOT waterproof (will be taken back)
Road got so bad with hail looked like there was snow on the road got back to Cardiff wiped the bike down put it away.
Found out just how bad the Franky T's were leaking BADLY being the answer.
Looking forward to some decent weather to get out on it but forecast not looking good  :'(

Well, this weekend, I ended up driving 100 miles on taxi duty. To all those who told me that a car is better because it has passenger seats: The bike is better because it DOESN'T! There I was, accelerating up the A1 at the speed of continental drift, two giggling teenage girls in back yelling and screaming in my left ear at a blooby video game, with a dog shedding hair over the passenger seat, and my landlord about to bite large chucks out of the fascia (In the passenger seat, under the dog!!)

Then I woke up late and had to thrash it into work. The fanbelt is slightly loose, and screams at me from time to time now (which pisses me off somewhat!!) The A14 and the bit through Huntingdon and Godmanchester were maddening - I want to filter, but I can't!!  :'( :'( :'(

I stripped, cleaned and rebuilt the FJ carbs, I fitted the new coils, I fitted the new plugs, I finally got round to sticking the race foam seat onto the fibreglass tail unit. I considered washing it but went out for a "spirited" ride on the B645 instead.

Eek, driving to Peterborough via the A14/A1?  That means you passed within 50yds of my house.  Good job my missus wasn't out in her car.  Her and Christo on the same stretch of road would have been a 99.8% certainty of a collision!

Christ no, wouldn't let her loose in anything that size, she might damage somebody else!  She does have this habit of hitting things though, trees, parked cars, brick walls (twice) and has a scrape on every corner of her car, most of which can't be explained, they just sort of appeared there......

I live on the outskirts of Peterborough but also use the A14 every day.....

I spent an exciting weekend clearing a space in the garage for my pending new arrival. It took all weekend but I can now fit 2 motorbikes, a caravan, a 4x4 and all my other junk in. I really need to dump a lot of stuff, maybe another day.
