I think that turning the cap clockwise relieves the slight vacuum, thereby releasing a few drops. After a few drops, some vacuum is created again. With a syringe, you actually build up pressure. If I fill the jar and don't screw the lid on immediately, the oil is already slowly leaking out at the sprocket. But yeah, it's actually a simple system... |
