Another overdue task from the back when we were still using the SMF forum, was the bloated attachments folder. In a nutshell the limits of file sizes and dimensions were a bit too relaxed, which resulted in a folder size of 72GB...

This morning I did a reduction pass on all the images in the attachments folder, which resulted in a reduction of 19GB, down to 53GB

Can I ask all of you when you have a sec, to check some of your old and new posts (old and new) that have attached images, they will be smaller (I set max dimensions to 1500*900), but they should not be corrupted or broken.
When I get around to doing the video files, I will ask for the same again etc.

Will the new system restrict the upload size of future images.
I have just uploaded a couple but went to the trouble of creating them no bigger than 1500 px

Mybb already restricts the size of new images being uploaded. The work b1k3rdude has been doing relates to images uploaded on the old forum which were ported into this new platform last year.
