Cosmetic Upgrade fzs600 - shieldr - 14-06-25

My old fazer is in state cosmetically and I’m not sure where to start. Photos attached.

I guess scraping and sanding the engine then repainting is an option but I am afraid I would make a complete pig’s ear of it.

I would welcome any ideas to spruce up the appearance of my bike which is otherwise mechanically sound, apart from the fact that it doesn’t idle well but I plan on arranging a carb refurb for that.

Thanks

Richard

I mean absolutely no offence but before considering any cosmetic works etc , that frame needs to be assessed as to whether the bike is roadworthy, and hence whether any cosmetic works would be worthwhile.

Probably not worth spending £100s

Tin of brush hammerite for the frame and pot black for the engine would make it look a lot better for £20.
