Hi im new in the world of motorcycle (3 week ago) i just get myiscence hehe!
can i use steering damper from R1 2002 on my fz1 2005?
but i want to know if the steering of the fz1 gen 1 and gen 2 and R1 2002 have same steering cause i want to buy steering damper GPR4 but they dont made for fz1 gen 1 (i ask them) so if i buy for gen 2 or for R1 2001 -2005.. steering damper.. if is gonna fit ? or maybe with little mod?
i have little wobble at more than 230km/h ..

A steering damper will only mask a problem that is already there. Never had a reason to put a damper on a Gen 1.
What are you doing at 230k plus after only 3 weeks.
The old story rings true here "Any fool can ride fast, but a good one can stop fast and after 3 weeks you are not there yet!
Slight wobbles are down to many things Carrying a top box is one of the worst causes at high speed
Check all wheel bearing and head stock bearings, then set up your suspension properly.

Totally different, as the 2002 R1 has upsidedown forks

i ask gpr but they wont made me bracket for any gpr steering damper..
or maybe the gen 1 is same steering as the gen 2 ? if i buy steering damper for gen 2 ..is gonna fit my gen 1 ?

Absolutely no idea on the the bracket as I never need a steering damper on any bike I owned.
The Gen 2 also has upside down forks

but i very like my gen 1
well last time i accelerate very hard with my bike after little bump i get my steering wobble... i was able to get back straith but i was scare little loll

If its your first bike, why do you think it needs a steering damper?
These bikes dont normally need them

On a Gen 1 you really don't need a steering damper.
If you are having handling issues, spend your money on improving the fork internals and the rear shock.
You can start by lowering the forks through the yokes (clamps) by 10 - 15mm. This puts more weight on the front and quickens the steering a little.
Learn to set up and ride the Gen 1 properly before you waste time and money on buying a Gen 2.

As everyone has said the Gen1 doesn't need a steering damper, if you are having issues with the suspension / handling it is because it is either because it's old and needs refreshing, has been set up incorrectly or for someone either lighter or heavier than yourself.
Your 2005 bike is nearly 20 years old, if it hasn't had a replacement / refurbished shock and front fork service then it is bound to have problems. It's up to you whether to take it to a suspension specialist and get it checked out or buy another bike and end up with similar or new problems. If you post a photo of the rear shock we can advise if it's OEM which would be a start. If you want to start cheap a 25mm jack up kit and dropping the yokes down the bars by ~12mm may help. The adjustments on the OEM kit arn't great but go riding with a friend and stop every couple of miles and get them to make a change to the forks or shocks compression settings without you knowing what they've done, ride for a bit more and see if that's made things better or worse, rinse and repeat and you'll get the best setup for what you have.
