Error code 43 - PottsFZ8 - 21-07-24 Hi all, I'm newbie to the group as I've just brought a 2011 FZ 8 N. Unfortunately on day 3 it has thrown up a error 43 code on the dash. I'm aware this a low voltage to fuel pump or injectors. Has anyone else experienced this and can point me to the solution please. RE: Error code 43 - PottsFZ8 - 30-08-24 An update to what was found. 1st of all a permanent live was fed from the ecu to the fuel pump meaning that the fuel pump was permanently on. Removed the permanent feed wire and the error ode 43 remained and the bike would not start. Investigated more and found the fuel pump wiring had corroded at the plug to the relay. Repaired wire and replaced fuel pump relay at the same time. The.bike would still not Starr and the error code 43 is still on. Investigated more and as the relay was now clicking when the starter was pressed, I presumed that the ECU was sending a supply to the relay. Put a multi meter on the wires from the relay to the fuel pump and no power found. Investigated the wiring between relay and fuel pump and found three breaks in the wiring. Replaced wiring and the bike started and no more error code 43 RE: Error code 43 - Grahamm - 30-08-24 Glad you got it sorted and thanks for posting how you did it for the benefit of anyone else who has the same problem in future RE: Error code 43 - agricola - 31-08-24 Thats a good piece of fault finding, well done RE: Error code 43 - PottsFZ8 - 31-08-24 (30-08-24, 12:03 PM)Grahamm Wrote: Glad you got it sorted and thanks for posting how you did it for the benefit of anyone else who has the same problem in future Thanks and No problems (31-08-24, 07:55 AM)agricola Wrote: Thats a good piece of fault finding, well done Thanks, must say it was a brain ache and I can not understand why someone would go through tje effort of supplying a permanent live feed from the ECU to the fuel pump instead of looking for the original problem.... some mothers do have them lol |
