Perhaps not too surprising as they sold in such big numbers. Also as we well know, clever people are holding on to this 'future classic'  Wink

Also interesting in the report is the government review of historical status, and the suggestion it might be brought down from 40 to 25 years. That of course would bring in the first of the FZS600s. Which would mean no Vehicle Excise Duty, and no ULEZ  Big Grin

I like the sound of that ( wonder if I could claim back my last tax ) as my bike is now 26 years old.  8)
Shows what a load of bolo# ULEZ is if suddenly at 25 years your bike no longer pollutes

I think it still pollutes just as much (or doesn't - case not proven). Their assumption is that there are so few 25/40 bikes on the road, that our pollution is insignificant. This forum might question that assumption.. Best keep quiet.....

Yes shurrrd --- urrrp
But "Their assumption is that there are so few 25/40 bikes on the road, that our pollution is insignificant" well that doesn't make any sense as you could say all purple cars are exempt as there are not many of them.

On the official stats, bikes can pollute just as much as cars but in congested areas like London, bikes tend to keep moving by filtering vs cars sat in the queues of traffic so burn less fuel per mile driven and therefore pollute less for a given journey. Shame the pillocks in City Hall dont realise that.
