What protection should I but on my battery contacts - fazersharp - 19-06-24

As per the title its a new battery and I have some servisol silicone grease, its says for switch contacts, ignition systems but it also says "high insulation properties".Eh - I dont get it why is it used on contacts if it has high insulation properties.Should I not put anything on, or maybe copper grease, vaseline or the servisol. I am only talking about a very fine smear. Or I also have some ACF 50 I could use.

From what I understand, you secure the contacts and *then* put the silicone spray/ Duck Oil/ WD-40/ ACF-50 over them to keep water away and help prevent corrosion.

Ok thanks both for clearing it up for me.

I'd brush them with ACF50 before fastening up. I've been using it for around 15 years and found it exceptional at corrosion prevention

Yep that ACF50 is very good stuff
