Wanted, a new set of genuine yam exup cables for the mighty gen1 thou. Anyone got a set and now no longer got the bike! You never know. Now N.L.A. Obviously I’m not a fan of pattern shite!

If you notice on the Yambits cable the printed prefix for the part number is 5VL rather than the Yamaha correct 5LV! The internet (eBay) is full of different people or company’s selling these cables with the wrong prefix. Obviously one manufacturing company is churning these out and dozens of different people are selling the same thing! If you do buy one buy the cheapest, as they are almost certainly exactly the same, good or bad!

Like the idea of the cable inner replacement, not a lot of pressure on these cables, unlike a clutch cable for example, so should be a good repair! Didn’t know about that! ?

Seen plenty OEM 5LV used Exup cables on eBay, search in "other items" on bike breakers.
Seem to remember seeing em on Venhill site looking for hoses etc, but site is proper shite, so may not come up in the site search, just ring em up.
Got some slinky cables as a spare set, compared em against OEM cables, identical in length, only visual difference is adjusters & cable sleeving that goes down back of motor between swingarm & sump. :thumbup

Venhill do a custom cable service. There is specific reference Exup / powervalve cables.
