BMW S1000RR shock setup - CatalinU - 01-05-22

Anyone can help me in setting up my rear shock? It was set for the rider only. Now I have a passenger plus lugagges. At the moment it's kindy of wobly in the corners.

You'd need to get a suitable spring for starters. Work out what your two up weight is in riding gear, and take it from there.

Standard BMW Sachs spring is about 170mm long and spring rate about 475lbs, which is barely enough for solo riding unless you're a bit of a stick insect.  Cheapest option would probably be to fit the standard spring from a 2006 onwards R6 shock as the spring is 165mm long and the spring rate close to 550lbs, so would cope better with more weight on board.
