Tyre removal/fitting lubricant? - Decoke Dave - 06-10-21 Always fit my own bike tyres to prevent others butchering the rims, should I use genuine purpose made tyre lubricant? Used washing up liquid in the past but been told it has salt in it which isn’t good for the alloy rims? Re: Tyre removal/fitting lubricant? - celticbiker - 07-10-21 Bought a tyre fitting machine a few years ago now as I was fed up with paying to have it done. I've heard the same as you so have always used a dedicated lubricant for the job. I prefer the liquid to the grease though.
