Camden Council Proposed Motorcycle Parking Charges: MAG open letter - b1k3rdude - 21-01-21 Evening All Do we have one who lives in Camden? if so can you you need to be aware of what Camden Council are currently trying to push through that will directly effect you and any motorcycle businesses in the area. Mag would appreciate as many signatures as possible on the following open letter (see below) and it would extremely helpful if any of those are from Camden residents - https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScciMRSTnplKtgYUXqN72bHPqhnIJ_aWB7tnzvFOkR6Pt8cMg/viewform Quote:Open letter to Camden council regarding the Parking Permit and Charges Review 2020We are writing as a concerned group of local businesses, residents and workers in Camden, about the proposed changes to motorcycle parking in Camden. Re: Camden Council Proposed Motorcycle Parking Charges: MAG open letter - b1k3rdude - 28-01-21 MAG has so far had 700+ signatures, but more are always welcome! Re: Camden Council Proposed Motorcycle Parking Charges: MAG open letter - Gnasher - 29-01-21 Sadly just more knock on from years of cuts to local council budgets, lack of proper central government funding to public transport and a coherent national transport policy. Still we'll have HS2, great if you want to go to Birmingham non stop, latest total cost somewhere around £106bn and I not sure if that includes phase 2. Bearing in mind that is almost double the cost they predicted in 2015, at that rate it could get to well over £200bn. Now if all that was spent on reopening (that can be) rail lines closed by Beaching cuts, properly fund public transport and improve current roads eg a national transport policy. Then we'd be in a far better position, question is why....................... They can't make as much money short term as they can by building HS2 :rolleyes Re: Camden Council Proposed Motorcycle Parking Charges: MAG open letter - mtread - 29-01-21 Quote: Still we'll have HS2, great if you want to go to Birmingham non stop, latest total cost somewhere around £106bn and I not sure if that includes phase 2. Quite as you can't go anywhere else, no stops on the way :rolleyes and I wonder what the real ticket price will be, say for the first 10yrs? i.e. £200bn divided by how many passengers and how long to pay it all back and back into profit.
