What was the deal with belly pans (is that one word or two?) back in the day? That is, did all the bikes have them as standard? Mine has what appears to be an oem one, obvs removed at the moment, and I think I prefer the look without... Same question with the crash bungs?, I have the bluey-green metal backing with the large lump of rubber, seen them in a lot of pics, very functional but hideous.

They were optional extras. If you go to the download area there is a document showing all the original optional accessories.
