LED Indicator lamps - Timbo - 21-08-20 Hi all, Has anyone found a UK legal replacement LED indicator lamp that works! Straight swap, no fiddling required? Bw Tim Re: LED Indicator lamps - teecee90 - 21-08-20 I just changed the bulbs to LED and the flasher unit. Re: LED Indicator lamps - Rob R - 21-08-20 Like teecee90 I just changed the bulbs & flasher unit. Take a look at http://www.norbsa02.freeuk.com/Rob Re: LED Indicator lamps - b1k3rdude - 21-08-20 (21-08-20, 05:00 PM)teecee90 link Wrote: I just changed the bulbs to LED and the flasher unit.+1, did that on my FZS1000, Bandit1200 and my current Bandit 1250. Although on the FZS I fitted BikeIT small Flexi-stemp inidcators & Indy spacers. Its sorta retained the OEM look while being less obtrusive. And its what I will be putting on my FZ1 when I get it - https://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_prod/74052 ![]() https://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_prod/73804 - I think the FZS had the ISPK01, but check with SBS. ![]() Re: LED Indicator lamps - Dudeofrude - 22-08-20 I've tried a few different ones over the years from the usual cheap chinese ones, the budget halfords (still Chinese)ones, Oxford ones (Avoid) and have now settled on the genuine Yamaha replacements. I have to say they are by far the best ones I've had. They are seriously bright, well made and they actually look more natural with the bike unlike some of the other aftermarket stuff Heres a link to the cheapest price I can find for the ones I have https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/383315305384 Re: LED Indicator lamps - Timbo - 24-08-20 (22-08-20, 08:52 AM)Dudeofrude link Wrote: I've tried a few different ones over the years from the usual cheap chinese ones, the budget halfords (still Chinese)ones, Oxford ones (Avoid) and have now settled on the genuine Yamaha replacements. Bw
You can change the flasher relay if you want or they come with in line resistors to correct the flash rate. Only need 2 resistors for all 4 and I put them on the back 2 so they could be tucked out of the way in the tail. I've run resistors for about 3 years in total now without any issues Re: LED Indicator lamps - Timbo - 25-08-20 Thanks for the replies .. I'll give the Dudes ones a go Bw Re: LED Indicator lamps - Timbo - 25-08-20 (25-08-20, 08:12 PM)Timbo link Wrote: Thanks for the replies ..
Yes I have base plates from previous aftermarket indicators, you'll need 2 for every indicator The cheap plastic ones work great https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/184129184527 Re: LED Indicator lamps - Timbo - 26-08-20 Thanks Dude ![]() |
