Micheline Pilot Road 4's on FZ1: who has had them? - b1k3rdude - 12-12-20 So how many FZ1 owners on here, have or have had PR4's on their FZ1..? I'm asking as the new bike has them and on the way home at 70-80 I was noticing a slight wibble. I have yet to check the pressures that were put in by the bike shop, but I can only imagine to high if anything. At low speed the bike is rock solid and below 70 I don't notice the wibble at all, I don't believe and it doesn't feel like the wheel is out of balance. Re: Micheline Pilot Road 4's on FZ1: who has had them? - Gnasher - 12-12-20 Suspension settings either compression, rebound damping or both and spring preload both ends. The tyres if they're in good condition they won't be the issue. Re: Micheline Pilot Road 4's on FZ1: who has had them? - Stainy - 12-12-20 I've had Road 4's and I'm now on my 2nd set of Road 5's (which are better wearing). I can't recommend them enough Re: Micheline Pilot Road 4's on FZ1: who has had them? - b1k3rdude - 12-12-20 Fair enough. @Gnasher, grand will add setting suspension to stock and static sag for my weight to the list. Talking of which I dont think this info (static sage figures) are in the FAQ. Re: Micheline Pilot Road 4's on FZ1: who has had them? - acid drop - 14-12-20 I've got pr 4s on my MT-09 they have done 10,000 miles and are due for replacement, A cracking tyre and they have been great Re: Micheline Pilot Road 4's on FZ1: who has had them? - CatalinU - 18-12-20 I had them, great tyre, sticky as hell, PR5 even better ![]() Re: Micheline Pilot Road 4's on FZ1: who has had them? - b1k3rdude - 18-12-20 Well when it warms up I will be following Gnasher's advice and checking wear and suspension settings. Case Closed. - b1k3rdude - 24-12-20 So its seems either the tyres, the bike or both don't like appear to like tyres that even a little under pressure. Front was 33 and rear was 38 (should have been 36/42). its taken the edge of the weird handling issue and once the std wishbones are installed I can set the suspension back to stock etc (its way to hard for my weight and riding styles atm) Re: Micheline Pilot Road 4's on FZ1: who has had them? - Bracechenko v2 - 30-12-20 Since the PR2's I've always stuck with Michelin PR's and currently run a set of PR4's on my FZ1. They're simply epic all rounder tyres that can give confidence when hooning around in the dry and confidence when commuting in the wet....brilliant brilliant things! |
