Broken Key - 74eldiablo - 24-08-19 Been out for a real blast today on some fantastic sweeping fast roads was awesome getting the engine singing upto to 140mph (clocks not lying honest) :lol Sadly I put my key in the side bit to unlock the seat to get my glasses out out and forgot about it, ok me thinks i'll put it on the main stand and wang on some wd40 chain wax whilst it's warm i thought. Being a bit challenged in the strength department due to my rhumatoid arthritis in my hands it's always a struggle to get it on the main stand without fear of dropping it, as i was pulling back for the 3rd time heard the keys fall on the floor...... aaahhh shyte thats buggered it now. I managed to get the bit out but now have a key in 2 bits, I dont know how im gonna fix that, other than trying superglue and hope miserable mick in the key shop isnt in a rager that day when i try ask him if its possible to make a new one from a superglued old one. :wall moral of the story is ALWAYS TAKE OUT YOUR KEY BEFORE PUTTING IT ON THE MAINSTAND :'( Re: Broken Key - mobile mouse - 24-08-19 You get two keys when you buy the bike from new. Do you not have the 2nd spare... Re: Broken Key - bandit - 24-08-19 Any decent key cutter should have no problem cutting a new one from your snapped key. Re: Broken Key - Trebus - 25-08-19 Local hardware shop is about £3, Chain places probably more like £8 - £10 nowadays. That sounds about right, but get one cut & if works get another cut as a spare.
