TPS Adjustment with aftermarket clocks - Riggerlee88 - 17-06-19

Hi All,

I am currently rebuilding my carbs and have been looking at the "carb balance sequence" my concern is the TPS adjustment as I have fitted Koso DB-02r dials; has anyone performed this with aftermarket dials will they show the RPM feedback original clocks will show (0,5,10K)? if not is there another way I can adjust and record the feedback or should I leave the sensor well alone?

Cheers

I don't know the answer, as it's the first time i've ever seen that question posed before, but if it's sending info to the clocks anyway then maybe it will still show up but as a digital readout rather than the needle moving?
Once you connect the new clocks just unplug the TPS and see how it reacts. If you get a 3000rpm readout then it's all working as normal.

Thanks for getting back to me I quickly before pulled the TPS off and it does show a reading on the clock's but will have a good go at it in the morning just waiting for some security torx to be delivered.

unless you have it wired up the sam as originals witch i think you wont then it wont read the faults

Judging by the photos it's set at around 10,000 at the moment and has gone to 3000 when unplugged, so i'd say it looks pretty hopeful.
Once the TPS is slackened and moved it will show for sure though.

It worked a treat slight adjustment bought it to 5,000rpm.

That proves all the circuitry for the "self-diagnosis" is in the ignitor. The tacho and the clocks don't have any part in the circuit other than displaying the output from the ignitor
