Clutch plates - midden - 08-06-19 Need advice please Have any of you ordered the individual clutch plates from Fowlers? If so did you order all the are all the plates shown on the diagram or have they bunched variations on the one diagram for all models and it is up to the buyer to decipher which they need? I've also looked on the part manual under foc-u downloads but that doesn't fully help answer cheers Re: Clutch plates - b1k3rdude - 08-06-19 If you mean the metal plates, I have order plates that had been over heated and warped on a previous fazer though. Lookign at the fowlers site it lists the same 3 diffent models numbers for them - https://www.fowlersparts.co.uk/parts/4189066/fzs1000-1c28-2005-050-a/clutch
Its been a while since I had to do anything clutch related so I hope the info in correct. Re: Clutch plates - midden - 08-06-19 So part number 8 and 9 have the same plate code as a option? thus if 168-16324-00 was the option two would be needed? Is the 'clutch1' 'clutch2' a obvious clue to match options and if so is part numbered 10 only needed if you have clutch2? and if clutch 1 are the 6 number 10's replaced with 6 number 9's Re: Clutch plates - b1k3rdude - 09-06-19 Parts 8 and 9 are single plates only, what you have is 3 different thickness for 8 and 2 thickness for 9. If you are replacing either of these 2 plates, then measure the thickness of the ones you are replacing - then select the ones that match the thickness of yours - simples. Part 10 is one part number and they are all the same thickness. I dont what you mean by clutch1/2 the same clutch has been fitted to every FZS1000 since 2001. Just that the optional plates of 8 and 9 are described 'plate, clutch1' and 'plate, clutch2' so just wondered whether if plate clutch1 number 8 is picked then plate clutch1 of number 9 should also be chosen, but you've basically cleared that query. Cheers for help ![]() Re: Clutch plates - unfazed - 11-06-19 Are they not colour coded? |
