Starter relay - Slippy - 13-05-19

My bike wont start! The starter relay has the red cable connected from the battery but the black cable has come loose. Does any one know what bolt size I need to re-attach. Attached a picture to make more sense.

Re: Starter relay - Slippy - 14-05-19

Thanks for that! Have no how it has managed to rattle itself loose

Re: Starter relay - Freck - 14-05-19

Just take the one off the red cable, it'll be the same size i bet. Smile

Disconnect the battery negative lead first to prevent accidentally shorting the positive to the frame

Re: Starter relay - Disorderlypunk - 14-05-19

why do i have a feeling that problem took a fair while to find, blaming clutch and stand switches first

Re: Starter relay - Slippy - 14-05-19

I had a guess it was the starter relay straight away because it was ticking when the bikes turned on

Re: Starter relay - His Dudeness - 14-05-19

Is that a bit of burning on the relay where the bolt was? If the bolt was loose it would cause a bad connection and high resistance and that causes heat and possible burning or arcing. If it is burnt give it a clean.
