Fazer carb cleaned! Now a twin - Slippy - 05-05-19 As the title says I cleaned my carbs and the 2 middle cylinders aren't combusting ![]() - carbs out - removed bottom of each carb - removed pilot and main jet and cleaned with carb cleaner. - carbs back in bike - 2 throttle cables connected - fuel line connected - 2 coolant hoses connected - idle connected I have a feeling the 2 middle carbs are not seated correctly as the two middle down pipes stay dead cold while the other two get very hot. Any advice of something maybe obvious I missed ? Got a track day in 3 weeks so all help appreciated. Thanks Re: Fazer carb cleaned! Now a twin - His Dudeness - 05-05-19 The two middle cylinders use the same ignition coil. Are you sure the coil is connected? Re: Fazer carb cleaned! Re: Fazer carb cleaned! Now a twin - Slippy - 05-05-19 It is, fixed you two were right! I was on the phone to a friend and said "its as if it isn't even trying to spark" and then the light bulb turned on. One of the connectors to the cdi unit wasnt fully pushed in. The misfire is gone aswell just need a carb balance and the throttle cable adjusting. |
