Rev Counter - Andy W - 15-04-19

Is there a simple way ('cos I'm a simpleton  :o ) to test whether or not the rev sender unit thingumajig is working?
Thanks!  Smile

What is the issue you have? Tacho signal wire goes directly to the ECU

Re: Rev Counter - PieEater - 19-04-19

Andy has an aftermarket Speedo / Tacho unit which presumably is playing up  Wink

Ah, hello! Yes, sorry about not responding....I have been dying of a serious bout of Man Flu...I have survived by the skin of my teeth & am just about alive!.........naturally I suffered in silence, as I kept telling everyone!  :rollin

Indeed as Mr Pie states, I have an aftermarket Koso digital dash & the rev readout has ceased suctioning. usually I believe these units pack up completely so I want to eliminate ant bike related issues foirst.
The Koso rev counter wire is simply soldered to the original feed wire - where I removed the OEM dashboard.

You could try moving the TPS. Mark the current position of the TPS, loosen it and move it left then right, tacho should react. The TPS is linked to the Ignitor which sends a signal to the tacho
