FZ1 Gen 2 engine warning light on and fault code 34 - FZ1obp - 23-02-19
Help Guys!
Bike's just had new plugs and coils fitted today - was running so well (had been miss firing etc).
Then 12 miles on engine cuts out and engine warning light comes on. Does run but on 1/2 a cylinder not like 3 cylinders. :eek
Error code 34 shown on screen - coil nr2 (was one of the ones replaced).
Is this correct? If so I'll drop the rad off and change the coil for one of the old ones.

Check the connections from the coil back to the ECU, corrosion or break in wires or connectors

Thank you - I'll check it out.
The valves were also checked yesterday along with the plugs and coils so also wondering if the cam shaft position sensor could be an issue (would need to be disturbed to get the cam cover off)?
Don't think it's the coil despite the fault code as I think it would run on 3 cylinders (as it had last week...) runs now on 1/2 a cylinder.

It is possible the cable on the sensor was damaged when the cam cover was being reinstalled, check the wiring on it and the cover over them for cuts. Also check the connector to ensure it is pushed together properlt
