mct tommorrer.. - ogri48 - 10-02-19 me and dave taking his thou over in me transit for Darren to work his magic, and being as mine was done 25k and 9 years ago ive whipped the fork legs out and taking them too for a checkover and fluid change. Cleaned my calipers up again whilst there off...cant believe how shitty they get commuting over a few weeks this time of year.. :rolleyes Re: mct tommorrer.. - ogri48 - 10-02-19 ![]() Re: mct tommorrer.. - Trebus - 10-02-19 Can’t believe how much dirt was on your gloves ? Re: mct tommorrer.. - SkidT - 10-02-19 Good work. I’d be embarrassed to tell you how long it is since I last had my callipers off to give them a clean. You might have just shamed me into having a look this week. Needless to say, I won’t be posting photos of mine when I do. Good luck at MCT tomorrow. Re: mct tommorrer.. - ogri48 - 12-02-19 daves forks were bad. mine were almost as bad. once that oil turns to grinding paste the damage it does is unbelievable. I know its not cheap, and its money spent on an old bike, but anybody here with a gen one that aint never had the fork oil touched really oughtta check it out. hopefully dave will be out on his this weekend and feel a massive difference Re: mct tommorrer.. - celticbiker - 12-02-19 I try to change the fork oil every 6 months/ 15000 miles Re: mct tommorrer.. - ogri48 - 12-02-19 yup mines gonna be start and end of season now Re: mct tommorrer.. - robbo - 12-02-19 Hi ogri, What springs and oil weight are you using. A job I've got to do in the next month or so. Re: mct tommorrer.. - ogri48 - 13-02-19 buddy I havnt got a clue but ive got the original paperwork from 2010 somewhere, it should be on there, ill find it and post. Bear in mind though that Darren often uses different length springs but cuts the spacer to suit...I saw him use longer springs on daves monday and do that Re: mct tommorrer.. - robbo - 13-02-19 Oh ok, that's understandable as you're getting a proper custom job to suit your requirements/riding style etc etc. Thanks for your reply. :thumbup |
