Metzeler M3 £120 a pair at M & P - sullspots - 30-04-18 https://www.mandp.co.uk/motorcycle-spares/tyres-wheels/tyres/metzeler-m3-tyre-pair-120-70-zr16-61w-180-55-zr17-73w.html Spotted these Metzeler M3’s on offer but not having had them before on any bike I wondered if anyone has had them on a Fazer 1000 and were they any good? Also those sizes don’t tally exactly with the specs I have in my book,it’s the last numbers that don’t match (61w & 73w),would they fit ? No track days or racing here, generally plodding with the odd thrash. It looks like it old son,all the reviews are from a few years ago so maybe they are older stock rubber. If they lasted a season they would be worth the money. Re: Metzeler M3 £120 a pair at M & P - Gaz66 - 06-05-18 Fazer 1000 front should be (58W) ... these are listed as (61W) front fitment, so it's a heavier construction, would likely be too stiff a tyre & not really suitable for a Fazer 1000, probably better suited to a Pan 1300 or similar weight bike. Old technology by today's standards, will likely be old stock, if you intend on trying a a pair, I'd advise ring em 1st to confirm build date on sidewall, remember all rubber products have a shelf life of approx 5-6yrs, then it perishes. I tried a pair on my old CBR600F3 about 6yrs ago, grip well in the dry, slide all over the shop in the wet, ripped em to bits inside 3,000mls. They're cheap for a reason. |
