Tyres again - midden - 17-04-18

https://www.giga-tyres.co.uk/search?vehicleTypes=MO&sortCode=none&vehicleSubtype=&width=180&profile=55&size=17&brand=Bridgestone

Looking at prices for bt023  and the above webpage has multiple prices/variants of the bt023 at the specified size.
Do any of you know the difference other than price; surely a bt023 is one thing  that is a bt023?

How does that work Gents? I'll assume you don't have the tyre fitting gear at home.  :lol
How much would a local firm charge to fit and balance for you on a free wheel for example.
Could some smaller independent places be a bit funny with you asking for fitment as you've robbed them of commission on a tyre sale.

My local charges me £10 a wheel..and he's happy to do them. Others may have cheaper.

My local dedicated bike tyre fitter/supplier was happy to ride in fit at £35 a wheel or £15 each if I take off my wheels and bring him them loose.
I ended up buying from Wheelhouse tyres near Birmingham who had a free fitting offer on a pair I brought metzelers but the receipt said "Prelli fit offer"

Yes Darrsi is right you linked to the wrong size the rear should be 160/60 and your link was to 180

Varies £10-£15 per tyre for me, but i still save about £40 or more compared to if i rode into a shop to buy a tyre and have fitted.
