The lack of a date of birth would be equal to 0, which for unix timestamps (how time is kept on a lot of computer systems) is equivalent to 01/01/1970 at 00:00:00.0000

which in English means those lazy foccers haven't put their birthdate into the forum so the forum defaults to 1/1/1970/
