1 pair definition - nobrakes - 22-12-17 Good morning, What are your thoughts of the "1 pair of headlight" definition? Yamaha YZFR1 YZF 1000 R1 2004-2006. 1 Pair of Headlight (without the bulb interior). High class quality and very durable. Easy install and good working condition. Casing color: Gloss Black. Lens: Clear. Should I expect just 1 headlight or 1 pair = 2 headlights? (Received only 1 headlight) Re: 1 pair definition - YamFazFan - 22-12-17 It's ambiguously worded isn't it, but It sounds more like 2 to me. Re: 1 pair definition - celticbiker - 22-12-17 Ambiguous indeed, I don't know the set up of these lights, if it is one moulded unit with a high and low beam in it I would say you should only receive one but could see how they have mis-worded it. However, if they are separate mouldings for high and low then I would expect one of each. This is why the terms 'set' and 'unit' are used when referring to headlights. Re: 1 pair definition - BBROWN1664 - 22-12-17 Isn't the YZF the same as the FZS where the pair of lights are in a single housing? If so, I would expect a single housing.
haha, thanks. English is not my native language, but as I understood trough google it should be 2 headlights in 1 housing Re: 1 pair definition - tommyardin - 22-12-17 1 Pair of trousers = one unit X two legs 1 Pair of socks = two units = two socks 1 Pair of pants = one unit X two legs 1 pair of bollocks = one unit X two bollocks And that is what that add is a load of Bollocks, it is misleading at the very best, If you buy a Pair of headlights it should be a pair, not foccing one headlight. or at the least a double headlight unit, as in the Fazer. Now is the Fazer classed as a One headlight bike or is it classed as a pair of headlights? Mine had twin/two headlights, they are a pair. Bastards, that doubles your costs. and possibly twice the postage. Bah Humbug! If as suggested he got a single light then he has been mugged off. Re: 1 pair definition - celticdog - 23-12-17 1 Pair of Headlight- could be taken as one of the pair, mugged off indeed! I'm sure there's a Brucie quote for this one. Re: 1 pair definition - YamFazFan - 23-12-17 Yes if it had said "1 of a pair of headlights" and not "1 pair of headlight" That's been worded so that it can read both ways, whilst not accurately stating either. Managed to make the rest of the ad quite clear though I notice ![]() Re: 1 pair definition - darrsi - 23-12-17 Was there not a photo? The word ambiguous has been used, ambiguous means open to more that one interpretation, that advert is deceitful in every sense of the word. The word 'Pair' is more descriptive that the word 'headlight' or 'bulb' which both could be a grammatical error. But add the word Pair without a doubt infers that their are two, now two can mean/infer the same as twin, as in one unit with twin headlights. IE: As in the Fazer. But to receive one single headlight is bad business, deceitful and falsely advertised, deserving the most scathing review possible. I rest my case My Lord :rolleyes 'Pro falso spolatum venditor est bastardis' Or 'I declare that the seller is a robbing bastard' That is Latin if you have it Re: 1 pair definition - celticbiker - 23-12-17 Do you have a link to the original post? Even if the seller has stated no returns you are still entitled to a full refund. Re: 1 pair definition - nobrakes - 03-01-18 Aye, My friend contacted the seller and the other "pair" of headlight was on the way. Careful bying those cheap headlights, the quality was shait |
