Looking at your pictures and explanation I think you have highlighted a problem and a solution. Good hit mate, I'm sure lots in here will be doing your mod on their 1K Fazers and giving themselves to a more smooth running and trouble free Exup valve mechanism. Sound advice, and you can not argue with the tide markĀ :thumbup Re: EXUP Valve - Drain Hole in Pulley Cover, (to avoid pulley/cable corrosion) - b1k3rdude - 04-11-17 Nice one mitch, will do this the next time the pully is serviced. Re: EXUP Valve - Drain Hole in Pulley Cover, (to avoid pulley/cable corrosion) - Hugh Mungus - 05-11-17 Good one Mitch. If I ever find a replacement EXUP valve I'll be sure to drill a drain hole in the cover. Re: EXUP Valve - Drain Hole in Pulley Cover, (to avoid pulley/cable corrosion) - robbo - 05-11-17 Good spot Mitch.Added to the list of to do's. Re: EXUP Valve - Drain Hole in Pulley Cover, (to avoid pulley/cable corrosion) - Mustang - 06-11-17 I don't have the corrosion on mine, but it's only on the ss for an hour tops, any longer and its main stand all the way. . - Mitch - 07-11-17 . Re: EXUP Valve - Drain Hole in Pulley Cover, (to avoid pulley/cable corrosion) - tommyardin - 07-11-17 Seems to me even if you don't use the side stand it is still a simple and sensible mod to do, belt and braces was the term that used to be used. |
