First loooong ride - bogal298 - 10-10-17 So, I love going out for a decent ride, 500 - 750 miles a day, and I'm hoping to do a Europe ride next year, France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Poland, Slovakia, Austria, Switzerland and then home so I'm after plenty of advice, anything you can think of, gear, places to see, roads to try and hit ect. I'll be stopping in Poland or a few days as my old man retired out there a few years back so I have a stopping point to tinker if anything needs it (hopefully not). Thanks for any advice ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Re: First loooong ride - windyg - 10-10-17 If you get into the area around Baden Baden check out the B500 Well worth a trip Re: First loooong ride - Oldgit - 11-10-17 Does this man have a cast iron ass?????? Re: First loooong ride - bogal298 - 11-10-17 Possibly, just got used to it been going for long rides since I first start our riding 4 years ago. Numb butt but worth it ?? Re: First loooong ride - Robbie8666 - 11-10-17 Living in Guz then it's about an hours ride before you get to civilization isn't it? :lol Re: First loooong ride - reggit - 12-10-17 Check out Montmedy in France, on the Luxemboug/Belgium border - the citadel is well worth a visit http://www.meusetourism.com/en/sightseeing/essential-sightseeing/montmedy-citadel.html and there is a municipal campsite in walking distance Also any of the alpine passes are a hoot - be prepared for the bike to run crap at altitude. |
