Wanted FZ600 Luggage/Sports Rack - Newb21 - 04-08-17

Hi guys,

Kind of on the scrounge a little bit. I'm the main child minder during holidays & don't drive. The nipper is big & sensible enough to go on the bike, I've got her all the right gear but I want to put a top box on so she has something to lean against. Got a box but no rack for the bike. It a 600FZS 1998.

Does anyone have a spare kicking about they'd be willing to donate, or going real cheap since I'm practically broke right now.

Any help would be appreciated
Thanks guys
Ian

Wouldn't encourage leaning on the top box, hanging on to the rider is the safest way for taking children.
Mine were on my bike once they could reach the foot rests, but always held on to me.

agree with Unfazed on that.

I've got love handles for her to hold onto but wanted something behind her for just in case. I've been going back and fore in the garden with her on the back and leaning the bike over stationary to get her used to how it moves. Have to say she's been pretty relaxed about it all. Just hope she transfers that to a road ride. She's not usually very adventurous at all.

:agree Newb21

When my kids were small, the box just gives a bit of peace of mind knowing that should they lose grip of you, theres something to try and stop them coming off the back.

Get a Givi rack. That's the only advise I will offer. The sports racks break too easily if you put a box on them.

I'll think about that Bbrown. Took her out for a little spin earlier only 20 minutes on 20mph roads (did wind it up to 30 occasionally) and she was fantastic. Hardly knew she was there. Had to tell her to squeeze me with her knees so I knew she was there lol
