I'm back.... - oddbob13 - 18-06-17 Well, after several other bikes, I've gone back in time and bought a 2003 Fazer 600. It's in lovely condition, but being 14 years old it has picked up a few little problems in the 14,000 miles it's traveled. Yesterday I had a go at balancing the carbs and sorting the freeplay on the throttle (there wasn't any!), will find out how good a job I've done today, I hope. But there's one thing I need some help on - I suspect it may have been lowered at some point, it didn't feel like it wanted to turn and the side stand seems close to the ground when extended, I also seem to remember my original 2003 bike being a bit higher in the saddle, maybe I'm heavier and it's just squishing down more...... does anyone know what length the standard dog-legs are on the suspension? Re: I'm back.... - darrsi - 18-06-17 Standard are 140mm from centre hole to centre hole. More mm lowers the bike, and less mm raises it. If it's wrong, they're only a few quid on fleabay and it'll be a good excuse to grease all the undercarriage while I'm on ![]() |
