Removal/Replacement side/kick stand switch - slinky2000 - 22-05-17 Can someone tell me how to remove the side/kick stand switch? I can get the outter screw off but I cannot get to the inner screw. It looks like the sump or downpipes are in the way. Am I missing something? The Haynes manual doesn't mention there to be any issues, it just says 'remove the two screws' Re: Removal/Replacement side/kick stand switch - slinky2000 - 22-05-17 ![]() http://foc-u.co.uk/index.php/topic,21149.msg242805.html and found this http://foc-u.co.uk/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=66 Talk about a C**t of a job for such a simple switch Re: Removal/Replacement side/kick stand switch - Dave48 - 22-05-17 If the job is such a pig like this one usually the Haynes Book doesnt cover it. But as usual the Fazer Forum has a way! PS So far I just keep mine free of grease & road crud & spray liberally with GT85. Coincidentally my clutch switch failed yesterday(part of the safety interlock) & the part is £38 from Yamaha! :eek Re: Removal/Replacement side/kick stand switch - bikemad - 22-05-17 I have got a sidestand switch if it helps you out. But sidestand would require removal of the exhaust to get at it,the two I took off where long after the whole bike was stripped & they where still a cnut to get at covered with crud ! Re: Removal/Replacement side/kick stand switch - slinky2000 - 23-05-17 Thanks but I have a switch, it wasn't until I went to replace it I realised it wasn't as easy as haynes suggested. |
