After Motad - redfox1 - 24-04-17 Now Motad has gone bust what are the decent options for a new exhaust. My Foxeye's is rusted to f**k,but reading through the relevant threads, all the other makes seem a bit ropey.Does anybody have any positive experiences with the other makes? Re: After Motad - daviee - 24-04-17 delcavic make decent pipes Re: After Motad - Disorderlypunk - 24-04-17 i live near Fuel exhausts so ive been considering them as they include a link pipe and have a large selection - really tempted to go see if i can get a tour of there warehouse Re: After Motad - mtread - 25-04-17 Don't think Fuel make downpipes. Pity as their end cans are great. I've had mine 12 years and looks like new. Re: After Motad - Zark - 02-05-17 I made a thread somewhere about my Delkevic pipes... Here it is! They still look great a year later TBH... Just cleaned a years worth of crap off them with some Harpic bog cleaner Re: After Motad - iamthearrison - 02-05-17 Another vote here for Delkevic - mine had the downpipes and stubby can fitted when I bought it, cant fault them. Had a Fuel silencer on my old CB500, another really well made bit of kit. Think I read somewhere that Black Widow downpipes have a tighter bend in them, and it makes getting the oil filter off difficult, but I could be mistaken Re: After Motad - Wharfe - 04-05-17 +1 for Delkevic. Mine had a full system on when i bought it, hadn't been on that long so can't comment on longevity but cleans up nice and makes a great sound. Only issue is that the K&N oilf filter bought for last oil change (with the moulding for a socket on the end) is just too big to get in without taking off the headers first (which I couldn't be arsed with, just used a regular filter). Course, this could also be true for other headers... Re: After Motad - redfox1 - 06-05-17 Thanks for the replies, but after closer inspection,I've decided to refurb the originals, cos the consensus seems to be that they're still the best option. Re: After Motad - daviee - 06-05-17 delkevic are every bit as good as standard pipes where you got thats they aint as good is nothing more than a lie Re: After Motad - Fazerider - 06-05-17 (06-05-17, 06:49 PM)daviee link Wrote: delkevic are every bit as good as standard pipes where you got thats they aint as good is nothing more than a lie... or bitter experience. Re: After Motad - daviee - 07-05-17 elaborate Re: After Motad - Skippernick - 10-06-17 Those with Delkevic pipes do they actually have the balance pipe between 1-2 and 3-4 cylinder, like they show in the picture on the bay of e? Having said on another thread about how my originals were fine after a weld and paint, they are now off and stripped back for painting again only to reveal many holes in the collector. :'( suppose i tempted fate.
