I'm breaking a set of carbs so I have one available Re: carb fuel inlet t-piece nipple - tommyardin - 27-04-17 (27-04-17, 10:41 PM)bikemad link Wrote: Did you source a T piece ? I'm breaking a set of carbs so I have one available Stupid though maybe, but, what is the outside diameter of the T pipe could you use a T piece from a aquarium the sort of fitting that goes into a fish tank air line. As I say it is just a thought, one like that if it fitted is likely to cost you 90 pence and available at most garden centres. I will measure a fitting on one of my tanks ...................................... 4.75mm outside diameter and made of plastic, the internal bore is 3mm. Not sure how it will stand up to petrol? But cheap plastic fuel cans do. Just a thought Re: carb fuel inlet t-piece nipple - Disorderlypunk - 28-04-17 when it comes to an important piece like that i dont like to bodge i do in many other areas as it is i have managed to find one for £35 just waiting for it to arrive update email says its being processed so god knows Re: carb fuel inlet t-piece nipple - tommyardin - 28-04-17 (28-04-17, 02:10 AM)Disorderlypunk link Wrote: when it comes to an important piece like that i dont like to bodge Tis good you have one coming and you found it at a better price than initially thought. I only mentioned the aquarium tank T piece because in you first post you said 'anyone know of any suppliers or anything that fits and is available cheap? sounds like you will soon have the bike back on the road. :thumbup Good luck. Re: carb fuel inlet t-piece nipple - BBROWN1664 - 28-04-17 Whatever you get, you want something that is safe with petrol. Plastic generally isn't unless it specifies it. You can get brass fittings for fish tanks too which would be ok. something like this would do the job http://www.carbuildersolutions.com/uk/brass-tee-4mm Re: carb fuel inlet t-piece nipple - BBROWN1664 - 28-04-17 there are nylon ones here too http://www.carbuildersolutions.com/uk/nylon-joiners-tees-ys-reducers-and-elbows#/pageSize=20&viewMode=grid&orderBy=0 Re: carb fuel inlet t-piece nipple - Disorderlypunk - 28-04-17 problem is i have a feeling they are of a specific size for the spacing between the two carb - will have a look when i get it and try and upload a photo (ive tried before but fail at the photo uploading lol) Re: carb fuel inlet t-piece nipple - tommyardin - 28-04-17 (28-04-17, 11:01 AM)BBROWN1664 link Wrote: Whatever you get, you want something that is safe with petrol.
