Worst bike mods - Dudeofrude - 19-03-17 Saw this on another forum and thought it could be interesting to see/ hear about some of the worst things you guys have ever seen done to a motorbike? Pics are even better Here's something to start...... Re: Worst bike mods - vinnyb - 19-03-17 What? yellow spotlight lenses? Not great but not that bad. Re: Worst bike mods - taylor - 19-03-17 playing cards, held on by pegs on the spokes. for the clicking sound. ![]() Re: Worst bike mods - fazersharp - 19-03-17 (19-03-17, 10:17 PM)taylor link Wrote: playing cards, held on by pegs on the spokes. for the clicking sound.Showing your age (again ) Re: Worst bike mods - bludclot - 20-03-17 Personally, any bike that has the factory standard rear mudguard area cut away, I think it looks naff at best, but mostly as though the bike has been rear ended and not repaired properly. Re: Worst bike mods - robbo - 20-03-17 The mudguard/numberplate has always,to my mind, been the section to spoil the look of a bike. Even back in the 60's building cafe racers, the numberplate/rear light would usually be a lashup, to be done properly later on, but "later on" never happened.Personally I'd rather chop the back end to within an inch of its life, then fit the smallest numberplate you think you'd get away with. Not from the point of trying to fool speed cameras, but having a numberplate the size of a plasterers hawk just looks crap. Re: Worst bike mods - Dudeofrude - 20-03-17 Don't start me with modified back ends..... Re: Worst bike mods - joebloggs - 21-03-17 Maltese cross anything. Skulls with led eyes on custom bike front mudguards Rim tapes (sorry) Fur seat covers Re: Worst bike mods - celticdog - 21-03-17 (21-03-17, 08:40 AM)joebloggs link Wrote: Maltese cross anything.:agree Yes, I'd also add sissy bars and leather satchels- in fact any kind of leather accessory on a bike. I'm not a fan of too much chrome. Re: Worst bike mods - Bretty - 21-03-17 Anything 'cafe racer' - Remove fairing, add clamp on handlebars and ridiculously thin seat (comfort gone), remove tail and underseat section (practical storage and pillion carrying capability gone), remove airbox (engine performance and smooth running gone), fit radial tyres (handling gone). Looks good though...
