Heated grips - MMCMME - 26-12-16 Just ordered myself a set of heated grips, due to arrive in a couple of days and never had any before. Where is best to wire the positive? Ideally would like to avoid connecting directly to battery to save killing it when I forget to switch them off. Any FZ6'ers wired grips in easily and successfully? Cheers! Re: Heated grips - mtread - 27-12-16 What make are they? Re: Heated grips - MMCMME - 27-12-16 R&G Re: Heated grips - mtread - 27-12-16 Ah, don't know about them, so I'll leave others to advise. The Oxford ones have an auto cut-out so you can wire straight to the battery and not worry about leaving them on. Re: Heated grips - MMCMME - 27-12-16 I could probably wire them directly to the battery and never forget to switch them off but its just for peace of mind really. Looking into a relay tapped into main bean as an easy option up to now. Cheers. Re: Heated grips - MMCMME - 27-12-16 Just found this thread so hopefully be able to find a switched live in my fuse box ![]() http://foc-u.co.uk/index.php/topic,65.0.html Re: Heated grips - davebike - 29-12-16 Mine are Yamaha fitted from new long before I owned the bike wired to power feed to Front brake light switch I am trader and this is how we fit them as well Re: Heated grips - MMCMME - 29-12-16 Cheers, ended up running a relay from rear light to under seat.
