Mivv exhaust bolt - Kenbob - 18-12-16

has anybody successfully installed a mivv exhaust using the m8 bolt supplied, if so what wizardry did you employ, I can't get it to bite the nut on the other side of the footrest,it's just not long enough.
Poor measuring mivv personnel.

:useless

Post up a pics of the problem or of the bolt you've got against the standard fittment or use that instead ??

Re: Mivv exhaust bolt - Kenbob - 19-12-16

Bolt that came with the exhaust is too short, it's m8 70mm, it should be m8 80mm.
There is no way  a 70mm bolt gives enough thread on the other side of the footrest hangar for the bolt to bite.
Didn't post pics as I was too mivved off. See what I did there.

I wonder if it's pot luck on the supplied bolts, the one with mine was about 30mm longer than needed.

That is sooooo Italian , I can imagine it in the mivv factory someone packing the boxes just throwing bolts in willy nilly  :lol  " fucking engleesh they vote a to leave a the eu , we show eeeem we give eeem the wrong a bolt "
I know , Piss poor way to attempt an Italian accent but it's the best I could do

Same for me - if anything a bit too long.

That's how mine looks now with the 80mm bolt, stuck a nylock nut behind the first  nut though for belt and braces.
