Petrol station discrimination, heh, sound like a rap! - Kenbob - 01-12-16 on my way to work last night ( on my fazer thou ), ( blue, the fastest colour ) I stopped in a petrol station near me, it was 9pm. They wouldn't let me have petrol until I paid them up front. They showed me a laminated notice allegedly by the the met police which said bikes must pay for fuel after 9pm. I told them to go f*ck themselves and that it was a discriminatory practice. What like it's only bikes that steal fuel and only after 9pm. WTF. Poxy BP corporate dictator muthaf*ckers. Anyone else had this shit. Re: Petrol station discrimination, heh, sound like a rap! - BBROWN1664 - 01-12-16 I would go somewhere else too. Bikes manage to steal a whole £20 worth of fuel sometimes. Cars on the other hand never fill up with £70 worth and fec off do they ? Re: Petrol station discrimination, heh, sound like a rap! - scoobiemandan - 01-12-16 That's complete BS, f**k 'em, they've lost your business ![]() Re: Petrol station discrimination, heh, sound like a rap! - mtread - 01-12-16 London ? They must have had previous. That'll be the 2 up scooter riders with no number plates filling up so they can steal or bike-jack the next poor sods pride and joy. Re: Petrol station discrimination, heh, sound like a rap! - Graham53 - 01-12-16 Did the notice say blue motorcycles only have to pay for fuel as everyone knows silver is the fastest colour and silver fazer owners would never ride off :lol On a serious note name and shame the garage so we can all avoid if in the area or call their head office and complain Re: Petrol station discrimination, heh, sound like a rap! - Kenbob - 01-12-16 Bp station just before Mitcham common or just after mitcham common depending on where you're coming from, you get me. Mitcham Surrey near Croydon. I did see a guy on a silver fazer, he had no problems. Strange that. Re: Petrol station discrimination, heh, sound like a rap! - midden - 01-12-16 At least you wouldn't have to remove helmet Re: Petrol station discrimination, heh, sound like a rap! - tommyardin - 01-12-16 I personally i think it is fair enough, I mean would you trust someone who rode a blue motorcycle. Most of them have all black clothing on and wear a mask and go under the name of Dick Turpin. Lol :lol Re: Petrol station discrimination, heh, sound like a rap! - Kenbob - 01-12-16 I thought I looked more like tonto. Re: Petrol station discrimination, heh, sound like a rap! - tommyardin - 01-12-16 Seriously though I have heard of attendants refuseing to enable the pump until the biker has removed his or her helmet. Trouble is nine at night 25 miles from home with the fuel light been on for the last 20 minutes of your ride. Take your bucket off pay them 20 quid on your card and make sure you put in £20-49 pence, go back in to the kiosk and offer them your card to pay the extra 49p and grin at them, it costs usually 50p for every card transaction, and most garages will not let you use a card for any sales less than £5. Oh! Sorry mate never carry cash as I find I don't need to in a world of plastic. Make sure you have the broadest grin on your face, really exaggerate it. It makes them scratch their heads, if they say you will have to put in another £4-51 to round it up to the minimum £5, sorry mate the tank is full would not hold another drop, they then say they will have to charge you the minimum of £5 for the transaction refuse to put your card in the machine, see if they are going to call the police for 49pence, and what a twat they are going to look when the police turn up and you explain what has happened. Especially as you have NO CASH, I don't think the police will search you. Fuck them all. :lol I hate the stupidity of the garages as much as anyone else, go along with them then turn it around and laugh at them. I wouldn't mind betting the copper puts his hand in his pocket and pays the 49p for you, then bollocks the attendant for wasting police time. :lol Re: Petrol station discrimination, heh, sound like a rap! - tommyardin - 01-12-16 Also to add real insult to injury, listen as the attendant gets a bollocking and walk out with policeman and thank him for his kindness, slowly start to put your bucket and scarf and gloves on and wave at the bobby as he drives out of the forecourt. Then walk back into the kiosk smiling at the attendant walk over to the coffee machine stick you hand in your pocket get out some cash and purchase a coffee and walk out. :rollin :rollin :evil Re: Petrol station discrimination, heh, sound like a rap! - Frosties - 01-12-16 (01-12-16, 10:33 PM)tommyardin link Wrote: Seriously though I have heard of attendants refuseing to enable the pump until the biker has removed his or her helmet. I can't wait for the next time they ask me to lose my lid :lol :lol :lol Re: Petrol station discrimination, heh, sound like a rap! - robbo - 01-12-16 Kenbob, You're no doubt from the same area as me.Don't bother with the Texaco at Purley Five Ways, as that's become a "helmet off" garage. When they won't switch the pump on, just leave the pump filler on the ground and ride off. That p*sses them off, forcing them out of their nice warm shop.Petty I know, but f*ck 'em. Re: Petrol station discrimination, heh, sound like a rap! - Kenbob - 01-12-16 Yep I know that petrol station robbo, will try that pump trick next time. Fuck em! Re: Petrol station discrimination, heh, sound like a rap! - Fazerider - 02-12-16 The Sainsbury's at Richmond on the A316 started doing this a couple of years back. I did argue with them, but they had become a popular target for little shits on scooters stealing fuel in the evenings so I can see their point. Part of the issue was their security cameras were pointed at the front of the vehicles so cars could be identified to a culprit (except stolen ones). OK, they could have repositioned the cameras, but most of the two-wheelers doing the ride-offs were probably nicked anyway. Actually, paying at the pump worked out quicker… it saves queuing behind half a dozen spotty gits in tracksuits getting in their evening supplies of fags, crisps and fizzy drinks. :lol Re: Petrol station discrimination, heh, sound like a rap! - Graham53 - 02-12-16 I must admit I also do pay at pump as much as possible, it's true though that the grey trakkie suit bruvs on hair scooterdryer thingys are little shits and probably have driven off from the garage but I'd still be taking it up with BP though , not hard to tell a scooterist in a hoodie from a biker Re: Petrol station discrimination, heh, sound like a rap! - darrsi - 02-12-16 Isn't Croydon the area where if you don't get your own way then you just burn the whole place down for fun? It's obviously a few wankers that have spoilt the party for everyone else, you need to blame them not the garages, if it was your business and you kept getting mugged off by (most likely) the scooter brigade then you would also put something into action to try and stop it. I wouldn't take it personally, although i fully understand it must feel like you're being segregated. Re: Petrol station discrimination, heh, sound like a rap! - fazersharp - 02-12-16 Yep just do it for all scooters, problem is they would have to spend extra money training attendants how to recognise one so its just as easy to say 2 wheels. I always pay at pump too,"splash and dash" I never fill up but just put in what I need for my ride because I don't get out much I like to think that way there is always fresh fuel in. There is garage I know without any pay at pump at the start of a very popular biking road and they don't mind helmets on one bit. I've never taken my lid off at any garage, or ever been asked to either. Maybe you lot all look like ruffians? :lol Re: Petrol station discrimination, heh, sound like a rap! - robbo - 02-12-16 Unfortunately it was the fire at Reeves furniture shop that put Croydon on the "burning" map.If that hadn't occurred then the rioting in Croydon would have attracted no more attention than Tottenham,Clapham etc. All of it carried out by total scumbags. |
