Fazer 1000 Gen 1 for sale 3000 miles Immaculate - SkidT - 27-11-16 Greetings All, First of all this bike is nothing at all to do with me. Whilst the dealer may be geographically near me in Reading, I have no idea where (at the moment). ![]() I just thought that all you fellow Gen1 owners / enthusiasts might enjoy having a look at it. Surely this must be the best low mileage Gen1 available anywhere? Please let us all know if one of you buys it. Enjoy! ![]() http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2004-04-YAMAHA-FZS-1000-FZS1000-FAZER-/172420632523?hash=item2825120fcb:g:lsQAAOSw44BYOjvs Re: Fazer 1000 Gen 1 for sale 3000 miles Immaculate - Grayo - 27-11-16 It may be just me but I always get suspicious when a 12 / 13 year old bike has only 3000 miles on it. A bike is meant to be ridden so ride it !! The way I look at it, either it hasn't been ridden or it's been clocked. Either way is not good. Re: Fazer 1000 Gen 1 for sale 3000 miles Immaculate - red98 - 27-11-16 Lot of cash for a gen 1.....just had a look at thier website...all bikes purchased have a £39 admin fee :eek :eek :eek Re: Fazer 1000 Gen 1 for sale 3000 miles Immaculate - SkidT - 27-11-16 I only had a quick look at their website but of the bikes that I looked at, they seemed to be in excellent condition, albeit a touch on the expensive side. Re: Fazer 1000 Gen 1 for sale 3000 miles Immaculate - Frosties - 27-11-16 I bought my Bandit from that dealer - good stock and a main dealer for Enfield if I remember. Had no issues with him. The Gen1 though will need some new rubber if it is genuine mileage so a good haggle point. Re: Fazer 1000 Gen 1 for sale 3000 miles Immaculate - ogri48 - 27-11-16 blimey. how the hell do you have that little beauty sitting in your garage for nearly thirteen years and hardly use it... Re: Fazer 1000 Gen 1 for sale 3000 miles Immaculate - Frosties - 27-11-16 Think I'd still prefer something like this for half the money http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Yamaha-FZS1000-Fazer-2004-04-2500-/112170306229?hash=item1a1ddf0ab5:g:DX4AAOSwzaJYBR~h Re: Fazer 1000 Gen 1 for sale 3000 miles Immaculate - ogri48 - 27-11-16 yeah i gotta agree. theres a nice un on there just sold with an r1 front end and other bits and pieces too..after that last vfr i had, which had been unused for a lot of years, im thinking it doesnt particularly do them a lot of good not to get used. seals o rings shrink etc, let alone the problems modern shite hygroscopic fuel gives. Re: Fazer 1000 Gen 1 for sale 3000 miles Immaculate - SkidT - 27-11-16 I hope you're not suggesting that I need to get out more on my Gen1? I'll have you know, I've done nearly 2500 miles in four years! :eek Re: Fazer 1000 Gen 1 for sale 3000 miles Immaculate - Frosties - 27-11-16 (27-11-16, 10:22 PM)SkidT link Wrote: I hope you're not suggesting that I need to get out more on my Gen1? Re: Fazer 1000 Gen 1 for sale 3000 miles Immaculate - old son - 29-11-16 No, Gen 2 is a completely different bike. Frames, fairing, lights etc. all different. Later gen1 ( FZS1000 )can have a black engine, most of the earlier ones seem to have a silver engine. Gen2 ( FZ1s ) can have a black or silver engine. Gen1 is carbs, gen2 is fuel injection. And what old son posted. Re: Fazer 1000 Gen 1 for sale 3000 miles Immaculate - maddog04 - 29-11-16 sorry old son.......realise that but was asking in the most simple terms if you just looked at a bike and one had a silver engine.....would that be a gen 1 or did the gen 1 come with silver and black engines Re: Fazer 1000 Gen 1 for sale 3000 miles Immaculate - maddog04 - 29-11-16 doh....cheers Slappy, you answered while I was typing :rolleyes Re: Fazer 1000 Gen 1 for sale 3000 miles Immaculate - dowtroddendave - 01-12-16 Does look nice but way too expensive, I bought a mint 05 Gen 1 last year 4,500 miles with £2,000 worth of upgrades including Ohlins, Akrapovic, colour coded hugger and belly pan etc from On Yer Bike for £3,500.00. Dave. Re: Fazer 1000 Gen 1 for sale 3000 miles Immaculate - Timbo - 01-12-16 The very same dealer who when asked if he would accept a (genuine and in person at the premises) offer by my colleague (who really is a gent with impeccable manners 60+yrs) responded simply by saying F**k Off. Not the nicest of people I would think. Avoid like the plague IMHO :eek Re: Fazer 1000 Gen 1 for sale 3000 miles Immaculate - Timbo - 01-12-16 Is the blue colour right, or is it the colour rendition in the photo?
