Waterproof FZS600 bike cover - Grant1Shepherd - 02-09-16

Hi guys

I'm moving to university this month, and I'm taking my FZS600 with me but sadly it has to be parked outside my accommodation, I was wondering if anyone knew of any great waterproof covers to cover the full bike? If so any suggestion would be much appreciated thanks. (Photo of my bike below) Big Grin

Had one from Amazon a few months back, it fits the boxy beautifully.

I'll dig out the link.

Crap, just noticed it's unavailable Sad anyway if they come back in stock, they are very good.

Any decent cover will do the job. Be aware it will usually mark the paint, starting on the corners. Many say their cover is lined and wont mark the bike, but truth is the grit is usually attached to the bodywork not the cover.. Invest in a decent security chain and fasten the bike to something immovable..

What does anyone make to this one?

Thank mate really appreciate the heads up, also don't worry, the uni provide bike parking bays with clamps into the floor that you put your chain through

Expensive!
You don't need to pay that much at all, have a good look about before deciding.
Take into consideration as well if you are ever going to add a top box in the future, 'cos it makes a big size difference.

Alright mate I'll have a look round for some and see what I can find, don't think I'll be adding a top box though  :lol

I paid 20 quid for mine and its heavy enough to stay during windy weather but also light enough to be stowed away neatly.

Just looking at that picture of your boxeye reminds me of the MCN review which called it disco or something.

Not at all, its a good looking bike imo.

I had an Oxford one that lasted almost a year.

It was fairly rugged, it had an elasticated skirt, a clip under the belly of the bike and little Velcro 'windows' so you could pass a chain through the wheels.

Covers are a PITA if you're using the bike daily especially if it's wet.

I would just ACF50 the fuck out of it personally.
