Where on earth is the earth - windyg - 20-08-16 Having a minor electrical issue so I am after picking your collective brains. When I ride in heavy rain and sometimes after I have washed the bike I find that the neutral warning light glows faintly when the bike is in gear , it also flashes alternately with the indicator warning lamps when I use them. My first thought is I have a faulty earth so my first question is does any one know where the clocks earth ? Second question is has any one else had this issue and how did you fix it. Thanks in anticipation Re: Where on earth is the earth - Tmation - 20-08-16 The neutral switch is low down at the back of the engine and can get covered in crap. check and clean the connectors. Re: Where on earth is the earth - jhaulass - 23-08-16 Same problem here, glowing neutral light when the bike is/has been wet. I've cleaned the multiplug going into the back of the dials but that hasn't helped. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated. Re: Where on earth is the earth - windyg - 26-08-16 I opened up the connector block in the left hand side of the fairing and found some of the connectors had turned green. I have cleaned this out and used Vaseline to keep the moisture out but have yet to ride it in the rain so hopefully its fixed but time will tell. |
