FZS1000 Gen1 Fazer wiring diagram - Billy Balthorpe - 15-08-16 Does anyone have a wiring diagram for an '02 Fazer 1000? I have problems with the clock and trip resetting itself after turning the ignition off. Ive checked the auxiliary fuse (OK) and the feed on the red/green wire on the 6 way connector underneath the r/h infil panel and there is no volts coming from the loom with the ignition off. I understand that there should be a permanent 12v feed on this wire to keep the clock and trip from resetting to 1.00 AM and zero respectively. I get the feeling that this is not going to be an easy fault to find as the bike has had an alarm fitted and removed and a digital gear indicator which has also been disconnected. I have used the site search function with no success. Thanks Re: FZS1000 Gen1 Fazer wiring diagram - b1k3rdude - 15-08-16 Get yourself a haynes manual, they are cheap enough. Re: FZS1000 Gen1 Fazer wiring diagram - Billy Balthorpe - 16-08-16 If no one on here has a pdf wiring diagram they can send me, I guess i'll have to. Re: FZS1000 Gen1 Fazer wiring diagram - NorthWestern - 16-08-16 There is a wiring diagram in the service manual available on here in the downloads section. http://foc-u.co.uk/index.php?action=downloads;sa=downfile&id=11 I had the same problem as you and found that the previous owner had removed an alarm. The 12v feed wire had just been twisted together and over time had come apart (this was under the left side infill below the seat), soldered it up and all is well. Re: FZS1000 Gen1 Fazer wiring diagram - Red Ceri - 16-08-16 I had the same issue and like North Western found it was the connection between the permanent feed and the Alarm feed, this joint had corroded and ultimately fallen apart, the joint is in the section of the loom where it comes from under the tank and follows the frame tube down before going behind the LH side panel (infill). [smg id=2862 type=preview align=center caption="Permanet Feed issue to clocks 1"] [smg id=2863 type=preview align=center caption="Permanent feed issue 2"] The Black wire with Yellow bands is for the alarm permanent feed so if you have removed the alarm it could be discarded. Hope this gives you some help with sorting your issue, as you can see from the second photo I started checking the loom from the clocks backward and almost had the whole loom unwrapped and pulled off the bike before I found the issue. |
