i`ve owned my 600boxeye for over 5 years and it`s excellent does everything  Smile Smile Smile
i`m wanting to do some 2up touring with thye mrs so i`ve been pondering for some time as to a 1000

I'm 5'7" and ride a Fazer 1000. Standard ride height was manageable but not entirely comfortable. Fitted lowering dog bones that reduced the height by about 15-20mm which was much better for me. When I changed the rear shock to the R6 Shock I put the original bones back on which lowers it by the same amount. You can also get the seat modified. Plenty of options for us shorties.

as above
mines got r6 shock with std dog bones and forks up through the yokes about 10mm

Re: short arse - mickvp - 16-07-16

I'm 5'7" with a 27" inside leg. I've got a 1000 with the R6 shock and lukes dog bones and the height is fine for me Smile

Re: short arse - Mick-H - 16-07-16

I lowered mine via the dogbone route, worked a treat but made it a little harder to get on the center stand and the rear wheel just about cleared the floor, also the bike was almost bolt upright when on the sidestand.
So I went back to stock height and had my Corbin seat height lowered, now much happier.

Re: short arse - dazza - 16-07-16

For a quick fix that costs nothing try lowering the yokes through the forks, this also shortens the wheelbase and quickens the steering so has a positive side effect. I've lowered mine by a good inch, as long as you don't weigh 30 stone it'll be fine.
