Clutch plate installation - Scotfaze - 08-06-16
hi,
Think I'm going to have to replace clutch plates,the whole set with genuine parts.Clutch is still juddering bad when I release the clutch lever.
Is this pretty straightforward for a novice like myself, is it taking them all out and just replacing them in the correct order.?.
Does the anti judder Spring usually need replacing at the same time.
Is the tricky bit lining up the clutch cover with the cable arm??
I go off into Europe week on Sunday an need to get it sorted.
Any of you foccers stay in the Glasgow area fancy doing it for me,will p at the going rate???

Where abouts in Glasgow mate? I believe it is a fairly straightforward job as long as you stay away from "updated" ebc springs, and you make absolutely sure all the plates go back in the correct order (they are not all the same).
Just out of interest, what oil do you have in at the minute?

Gen 1? If so get a cuppa, watch this and decide if it's something you feel you can do. It's pretty straight forward.

Hi,
I'm actually in East Kilbride, hairmyres end.its genuine Yamaha springs and clutch plates I have.
Oil that's in at the moment is silkolene comp 4 10w-40 synthetic ester based.
Bike is a gen1 with 52,000 miles.
