Re: spark plugs and gap - darrsi - 04-06-16

Had a bit of spare time at work one day so went on the search until i found a washer that was 0.75mm thick.
Have kept it in my wallet ever since.  Big Grin

The last few couple of sets of NGK CR8E's I've fitted have all been within spec straight out the box.

I can't imagine them ever being way off spec at all to be honest straight out of the box.
Everyone tends to make a fuss about the gap but we're talking about a savage electronic spark engulfed in highly volatile inflammable liquid.
A few thousanths of millimetres are not gonna stop a plug igniting fuel and send a bike into mass confusion.

Unless they are fakes and there a plenty of fake NGKs around

Re: spark plugs and gap - Bretty - 05-06-16

Really?! How would you spot a fake spark plug?

Re: spark plugs and gap - Bretty - 05-06-16

Wow, ok. I'll give mine a little check next time they are out as I always but the cheapest plugs I can find on amazon or ebay, assuming NGK is NGK and they are all the same.

We'll see...
